(“Terms and Conditions”)
The Terms and Conditions set out below apply to all participants submitting entries for the Cadbury Made To Share Promotion 2026 and, where applicable, participating in Cadbury Made To Share Mall and Instore Activations (the “Promotion”).
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. Participation in this Promotion will constitute agreement to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If a participant does not agree with these Terms and Conditions, they should not participate.

1. THE PROMOTION AND PROMOTER
The Promotion is conducted by Mondelez South Africa Proprietary Limited, No. 6 Woodmead Drive, Woodmead, Sandton, 2191, Tel: 011 253 4000 (“the Promoter”) and its designated agencies in South Africa.
2. PROMOTION PERIOD
2.1 The Promotion will run from 1 August 2026 to 31 October 2026 (“Promotion Period”).
2.2 The Promotion Period may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Promoter.
2.3 The Promotion is valid while stocks last. The qualifying products are subject to stock availability at the time of purchase and will vary by store.
3. WHO MAY ENTER
3.1 All participants in the Promotion must, at the time of entering the Promotion:
a) be a natural person and be at least 18 (eighteen) years of age;
b) be a citizen and/or a legal resident of South Africa;
c) be in possession of a valid South African Identity Document, resident/work permit and/or Driver’s Licence; and
d) be residing or present in South Africa for the duration of the Promotion Period and for the period during which prize draws and the delivery or collection of prizes take place.
3.2 All participants agree that the Terms and Conditions, rules and provisions as set out herein are binding on them.
3.3 Participation in the Promotion excludes directors, members, partners, promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers, employees or consultants of the Promoter or any third parties involved in the execution of the Promotion, either directly or indirectly, including agencies, organisers and/or participating stores of the Promotion, as well as immediate family members and/or business partners or associates of any of the aforementioned persons.
4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION
IN-STORE PROMOTION: BUY, DIAL & WIN (USSD) / BUY, SCAN & WIN (WHATSAPP)
4.1 To qualify for the Promotion, each participant must purchase any one (1) participating Cadbury Dairy Milk slab in the qualifying pack sizes of 80g or 150g during the Promotion Period. Participating variants, SKUs and barcodes are subject to final confirmation by the Promoter and may vary by store.
4.2 No other Promoter products are eligible for this Promotion other than the participating Cadbury Dairy Milk 80g and 150g slabs confirmed by the Promoter. The participating products are subject to availability at the time of purchase.
4.3 To stand a chance of winning any of the prizes listed in clause 6, participants must purchase any one (1) participating product and dial USSD number *120*8826# or scan the QR code for WhatsApp entries from a registered prepaid cell phone number that has been RICA’d and registered in the name of the participant, and then follow the prompts.
4.4 USSD entries cost 20c per 20 seconds. For WhatsApp entries, standard WhatsApp rates apply. Free minutes do not apply. Incomplete entries may be billed by the participant’s service provider.
4.5 Participants must enter the last 4 digits of the barcode found on the outside of the wrapper and retain or upload a picture of the till slip as proof of purchase. Participants must follow the instructions carefully.
4.6 The Promoter shall not be responsible for telecommunication failure on the part of the participant’s service provider.
4.7 Due to network restrictions, the USSD session may time out after 120 seconds. If a participant enters and the session times out, the participant may need to re-enter by dialling the USSD number again.
4.8 Proof of purchase, being a valid till slip, must be retained in order to stand a chance to win a prize. Each completed USSD entry may receive an SMS with a link to be used to upload the proof of purchase to the WhatsApp line communicated by the Promoter.
4.9 Participants must enter from a mobile number that is RICA’d, registered in their own name and owned by themselves. No other person may use another person’s mobile number for purposes of an entry. Any participant that uses a phone other than their own for the purposes of entry may be disqualified and requested to refund any prizes to the Promoter, at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
ONLINE MECHANIC: PLAY THE SLAB SETTLER
4.10 To participate in the Online Mechanic, participants must visit the official campaign website at https://cadbury-made-to-share.co.za or scan the QR code featured on participating product packs, in-store point-of-sale communication, or official digital/social media campaign advertisements during the Promotion Period.
4.11 Once on the campaign website, participants must click on the "Start Settling" button to launch the interactive "Slab Settler" digital experience.
4.12 To customize their digital wrapper and "set the scene" for their entry, participants will be prompted to select their sharing occasion from the available options (including but not limited to: "A braai that went long?", "A road trip that tested friendships?", or "Sunday lunch with the aunties?").
4.13 After completing the scene selection and customizing their digital wrapper/sharing moment, participants must complete the registration form by providing the following accurate personal information:
a) Full Name and Surname;
b) A valid, RICA’d South African mobile number registered in their own name (as per the requirements of Clause 4.9); and
c) A valid email address.
4.14 Upon successful submission of their registration details and completed "Slab Settler" interaction, the participant will receive one (1) entry into the weekly draw corresponding to the week of entry for a chance to win the weekly cash prize of R20,000 (twenty thousand Rand).
4.15 Multiple entries are permitted for the Online Mechanic, provided that each entry is unique and represents a separate, completed "Slab Settler" submission.
4.16 Participants must enter from their own RICA'd mobile number. No other person may use another person's mobile number for the purposes of entry. Any participant found using a mobile number other than their own may be disqualified at the sole and absolute discretion of the Promoter.
5. CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION MORE THAN ONCE?
5.1 Multiple entries will be permitted, subject to each entry being submitted separately and in accordance with the entry requirements.
6. PRIZES
6.1 The Promotion will afford participants a chance to win:
Weekly Prizes: R20,000 cash prizes per week for the duration of the promotion period.
6.2 Prizes are subject to winner verification, proof of purchase validation and the final prize terms communicated by the Promoter. All prize finalists will need to supply a copy of their South African identity Document, Driver’s license and/or permanent residency permit, proof of residential address, completed finalist form and any other relevant documents to complete the verification process. Should a finalist not provide the requested documents, or information on request, they will be disqualified, and another finalist will be randomly selected.
6.3 Winners will accept the prize as is and at their own risk.
6.4 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes for a different prize of similar value.
6.5 Any risks in relation to the prizes (such as loss, theft or damages) will pass to the winner once the prize has been collected/accepted and/or signed for by the winner. The Promoter will not be responsible for any lost or stolen or prize and no replacements will be made.
6.6 Prizes are not transferrable or exchangeable and may be forfeited or be the subject of a separate draw or be allocated to another winner at the Promoters' discretion. Winners are allowed however to pass their prize onto a friend/family member if they wish not to take it themselves.
7. AWARDING OF PRIZES
7.1 All decisions regarding the awarding of prizes shall be taken by the Promoter at its sole and absolute discretion and shall be final and binding in all respects.
7.2 Should unforeseen circumstances prevent the draw from taking place on the set draw date, the draw will be moved to the next available date at the sole discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
7.3 The Promoter reserves the right to carry out reasonable due diligence to confirm eligibility and may refuse to award the prize to a participant if there is suspicion of any irregularities or fraudulent activities.
7.4 The Promoter reserves the right to carry out reasonable due diligence to confirm eligibility and help ensure that the use of any person in advertising or publicity for the Promotion will not bring the Promoter or any of the Promoter’s brands into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavourably on the Promotion as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion.
8. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and/or disqualify any participant/winner that may bring the Promoter brands into disrepute. 8. TERMS OF DELIVERY
8.1 It is the participant’s responsibility to provide the correct contact number and/or email address when entering the Promotion. If the contact details provided by a winner are incorrect, the winner will forfeit the prize and it will be transferred to the next selected winner.
8.2 All prize finalists will first be notified via telephone (using the cellular number used to enter the Promotion). If a finalist is not contactable after 3 consecutive contact attempts, then such finalist will forfeit their prize and another finalist will be randomly selected, and the same process as described herein will be followed.
8.3 Any dispute regarding contact number or email address ownership, including instances where more than one individual claims to be the owner of the same mobile number or email address, will result in the immediate disqualification of both the contact details and the individuals concerned. No negotiations will be entered into.
8.4 The Promoter is not responsible for any undelivered prizes resulting from incorrect contact details provided by a winner.
9. INDEMNITY
9.1 To the extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act and any other applicable law:
9.1.1 The participant hereby indemnifies the Promoter, its associated companies, including directors, officers and employees, and agents against any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages or loss of any kind, regardless of how caused and whether arising under the law of contract, delict or otherwise, as a result of the participant’s entry into the Promotion.
9.1.2 The Promoter excludes all warranties, express or implied, representations and liabilities regarding the Promotion, other than for death or personal injury caused by its negligence and/or fraud.
9.1.3 The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of participants, including but not limited to a participant’s identity, age and place of residence, and to reject any participant who has not complied with these Terms and Conditions.
9.1.4 Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
9.1.5 Neither the Promoter nor its agents or distributors will have any liability in relation to the Promotion.
9.1.6 By participating in the Promotion, participants agree to allow marketing materials to be sent to them by the Promoter during and after the Promotion Period. Participants will, however, have the option to opt out of any such communication at any time.
9.1.7 The Promoter reserves the right to carry out reasonable due diligence to confirm eligibility and to ensure that the use of any such person in advertising or publicity for the Promotion will not bring the Promoter or any of the Promoter’s brands into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule, or reflect unfavourably on the Promotion, as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion.
9.1.8 The Promoter will not be liable for any unforeseen defects in promotional materials supplied or manufactured by third parties.
9.1.9 The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone or network lines, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on a mobile network, or any combination thereof, or any other technical failures, including any damage to a participant’s or any other person’s mobile handset or computer related to, or resulting from, participation in this Promotion or the downloading of any materials related to this Promotion.
9.1.10 The Promoter shall not be liable for failing to select a participant as the winner of the Promotion.
9.1.11 Prior to submitting any entry, it is the participant’s responsibility to obtain all necessary intellectual property rights from any third party where applicable. The participant warrants that they hold all rights in and to any entry submitted, that the entry is original, and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights.
9.1.12 The Promoter is not responsible for any unauthorised use by third parties of any content submitted by participants. Should a participant infringe any third party’s rights in their entry, the participant shall indemnify and hold the Promoter harmless from and against any and all claims, proceedings, direct and indirect damages, costs and expenses arising from such infringement.
10. CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION
10.1 Participants voluntarily provide their personal information to the Promoter, its associated agencies and any third-party service providers running the Promotion in conjunction with the Promoter.
10.2 The Promoter, through its subcontractors or sub-processors, may have access to information that can identify individual consumers, referred to as “Personal Information” as defined by the Protection of Personal Information Act. The Promoter and its subcontractors shall comply with all laws and regulations applicable to Personal Information and any related information.
10.3 By entering the Promotion and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, participants authorise the Promoter to collect, store and use their personal information for communication or statistical purposes. Participants are entitled to decline any marketing communication and may inform the Promoter in writing should they wish to be removed from all communication.
10.4 The Promoter, through its sub-processors, warrants that any Personal Information will be collected in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
10.5 By entering the Promotion, the participant consents to the Promoter using their name and images for publicity purposes, without any further remuneration being payable. All promotional material will become the sole property of the Promoter. However, the participant has the right to decline participating in any promotional activity or to object to the use of such images by providing written notification to: No. 6 Woodmead Estate, 1 Woodmead Drive, Woodmead, Sandton, 2191, Attention: Legal Department.
10.6 Personal information will be retained for as long as is reasonably and legally required to perform the obligations under the terms of the Promotion.
11. GENERAL
11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel the Promotion, or any aspect thereof, without notice and at any time, for any reason the Promoter reasonably deems necessary.
11.2 The onus rests on participants to check the website or official campaign platforms for any updates to the Terms and Conditions.
11.3 No liability shall lie against the Promoter in favour of any participant and/or third party arising from such cancellation, suspension or termination. The participant accordingly waives any rights they may have against the Promoter and acknowledges that they will have no right of recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against the Promoter.
11.4 The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11.5 The Promoter will not be liable for any unforeseen defects in promotional materials supplied or manufactured by third parties, including but not limited to any QR code.
11.6 This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook or any other social media platform used to promote this campaign. By entering the Promotion, participants acknowledge that social media platforms bear no responsibility for this Promotion.
11.7 If any clause of these Terms and Conditions, or any part thereof, is found to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable. If that is not possible, it will be severed from the Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions will continue to have full force and effect.
11.8 All queries and/or complaints pertaining to this Promotion should be directed to info@live-wiremarketing.co.za or such other official contact point communicated by the Promoter.
11.9 These Terms and Conditions are subject to the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Should any doubt or dispute arise, it will be referred to the relevant courts of law.
11.10 This Promotion may not be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions by the Promoter, unless expressly communicated by the Promoter.
11.11 In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any terms and conditions printed or displayed on any marketing materials published or broadcast in any media relating to this Promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
12. ACTIVATION TYPES, PERIODS AND LIMITED TIME ONLY NOTICE
12.1 This section applies only to the Made To Share Mall Activation and Instore Activation mechanics. Fan Park activity is excluded from this combined document unless expressly added by the Promoter in writing.
12.2 Mall Activation and Instore Activation dates, operating hours, participating malls, participating stores and participating regions will vary and will be confirmed by the Promoter or communicated on-site, in-store or on official campaign platforms.
12.3 The Promotion, activation mechanics, rewards, instant prizes, limited edition chocolates and any other promotional benefits are available for a limited time only and only while promotional stocks, venue capacity, store participation and activation availability last.
12.4 The qualifying products are Cadbury Dairy Milk 80g and 150g slabs, subject to the final participating SKU and barcode list confirmed by the Promoter. Products remain subject to stock availability at the time of purchase and may vary by store.
13. MALL ACTIVATION DETAILS
13.1 The Mall Activation is intended to drive awareness of the new wrapper and the overall Cadbury Made To Share campaign. Consumers, influencers and guests may engage with the activation and create their own digital wrappers for reward, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
13.2 Mall Activation locations, dates and times are below: We will conduct an 8hr shift from 10am – 5pm
• Mall of Africa: 6th -9th Aug
• Gateway: 13th-16th Aug
• Tyger Valley: 27th-30th Aug
13.3 Mall Activation mechanic:
• Participants approach or are approached by a Cadbury Brand Ambassador at the activation stand.
• Brand Ambassadors explain the Cadbury Made To Share campaign, the Slab Settler or digital wrapper mechanic and the reward process.
• Participants may be invited to sit at the negotiation table and create a digital Cadbury wrapper or sharing moment with assistance from Brand Ambassadors.
• Participants may be required to post the digital wrapper or approved campaign content to their personal social media account.
• Participants may be required to tag 2 to 3 friends, family members or people featured in the wrapper or sharing moment, and use the campaign handle, hashtag, link, QR code or call to action communicated on-site.
• Brand Ambassadors will verify that the post is visible and compliant. Participants may be required to keep the post visible for winner verification or reporting purposes.
• Once verified, eligible participants may receive a limited activation reward, limited edition Cadbury chocolate or access to an on-site reward mechanic, subject to availability.
• Where communicated on-site, participants may be invited to participate in additional activity such as the Share Bench, Spin and Win or another approved mechanic.
13.4 Unless otherwise communicated on-site, the Mall Activation may operate as a “Post and Get” mechanic. A purchase may not be required for the Mall Activation Post and Get mechanic, unless the Promoter communicates otherwise at the activation site.
14. INSTORE ACTIVATION DETAILS
14.1 The Instore Activation is intended to drive participating product sales, competition entries and shopper engagement. The activation may be set up at the entrance, exit or approved area of participating retailers and may be supported by in-store promoter engagement.
14.2 Instore Activation date range: 6th August – 6th September.
14.3 Instore Activation mechanic:
• Promoters approach shoppers as they enter the participating store, exit the store or move through the relevant aisle, subject to retailer approval.
• Promoters unpack the Cadbury Made To Share campaign, participating wrapper, participating products and the competition mechanic.
• Shoppers are encouraged to purchase the required participating Cadbury products to enter the Promotion.
• The qualifying products are participating Cadbury Dairy Milk 80g and 150g slabs, subject to the final SKU list, barcode list and participating product confirmation from the Promoter.
• Where the campaign requires a “Buy 2” purchase mechanic, shoppers must purchase 2 participating units to qualify for the relevant entry mechanic, unless otherwise confirmed by the Promoter.
• The shopper may be required to enter via USSD, WhatsApp, QR code, till slip upload or any other official entry channel communicated by the Promoter.
• The shopper must retain a valid till slip as proof of purchase and may be required to submit or upload the till slip for verification.
• Where the shopper wishes to create and post a digital wrapper, the promoter may assist the shopper with the Slab Settler or digital wrapper process.
• Where applicable, the shopper may receive access to an instant reward mechanic after completing the required purchase, entry, wrapper creation or post verification steps, subject to availability.
14.5 Participating SKUs and barcodes: TBC. Client to provide final participating SKU list and barcodes for the qualifying Cadbury Dairy Milk 80g and 150g slabs, including any exclusions.
15. ACTIVATION REWARDS, INSTANT PRIZES AND PROMOTIONAL ITEMS
15.1 Activation rewards and instant prizes may include, but are not limited to, limited edition Cadbury chocolates, Cadbury Dairy Milk 80g or 150g chocolates, Cadbury-branded merchandise, game participation opportunities, Spin and Win opportunities or any other promotional item communicated on-site.
15.2 Weekly prizes, grand prizes and any national competition prizes are governed by the applicable national Cadbury Made To Share Promotion terms and conditions set out in Section A above, where relevant.
15.3 All activation rewards, instant prizes and promotional items are available for a limited time only, while stocks last and subject to availability at each activation site or participating store. The Promoter does not guarantee that every participant will receive a reward or prize.
15.4 Rewards and prizes may vary by venue, store, region, date, time, mechanic, stock availability and operational requirements.
15.5 Promotional images are merely a representation of the reward or prize. The actual reward or prize may vary. Rewards and prizes are not transferable for cash, not exchangeable and may not be substituted by the participant.
15.6 Any risk in relation to a reward or prize passes to the participant once the reward or prize has been handed over, accepted, collected or signed for. The Promoter will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged or misplaced reward or prize once issued.
16. CONTENT, SOCIAL MEDIA AND PUBLICITY
16.1 By participating, participants acknowledge that the Promotion may involve the creation, sharing, posting, reposting, capturing or display of social media content, photographs, videos, digital wrappers, usernames, handles, comments and other campaign-related content.
16.2 By posting, submitting or allowing content to be captured as part of the Promotion, the participant grants the Promoter, its associated companies, designated agencies and campaign partners the right to use, reproduce, repost, publish, display, edit and share such content, including the participant’s name, username, handle, likeness, image, voice and social media content, for promotional, reporting, campaign, publicity, archival and internal purposes, without further remuneration, to the extent permitted by law.
16.3 Participants may decline to participate in any photograph, video, interview or publicity activity and may object to the use of their image by notifying the Promoter in writing at: No. 6 Woodmead Estate, 1 Woodmead Drive, Woodmead, Sandton, 2191, Attention: Legal Department.
16.4 This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, WhatsApp or any other social media platform used to promote, share or enter the Promotion.
17. ACTIVATION INDEMNITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
17.1 To the extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act, the Protection of Personal Information Act and any other applicable law, by participating in the Promotion each participant indemnifies and holds harmless the Promoter, its associated companies, subsidiaries, holding companies, directors, officers, employees, agencies, contractors, service providers, mall owners, participating retailers, promoters, Brand Ambassadors and agents against any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, claims, liability, loss, injury, cost or expense of any kind, regardless of how caused and whether arising under contract, delict or otherwise, as a result of or in connection with the participant’s participation in the Promotion, attendance at an activation site, acceptance or use of a reward or prize, creation or sharing of content, or breach of these Terms and Conditions.
17.2 Participants enter the activation area, engage in any on-site mechanic and accept any reward or prize at their own risk. Participants must follow all reasonable safety instructions issued by the Promoter, Brand Ambassadors, retailer staff, mall security or authorised representatives.
17.3 The Promoter will not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, theft, delay, technical failure, social media platform failure, network failure, accident or incident arising from participation in the Promotion, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
17.4 The Promoter is not responsible for any unauthorised use by third parties of any content submitted, posted or shared by participants. Should a participant infringe any third-party rights, the participant shall indemnify and hold the Promoter harmless from and against all claims, proceedings, damages, costs and expenses arising from such infringement.
